Se ve lo state chiedendo, la J. sta per Jeanne.
Il mio secondo nome mi è sempre piaciuto poco, da piccola. Non capivo perché mia madre avesse l’esigenza di scriverlo dappertutto, di cucirlo sul grembiulino, di dirlo alle maestre e, lo detestavo, di farlo scrivere a me nei quaderni e nelle letterine. Solo più in là ho compreso che la J. era la differenza tra me e le altre Nathalie.
La J. sono io.

Adesso ho 25 anni e vivo a Milano da due. Ho un gatto e gli occhi a palla. Quando rido ancora di più.
Dopo essermi specializzata come videomaker e aver ottenuto un Bachelor in Comunicazione visiva alla SUPSI di Lugano, ho deciso di cominciare la mia carriera lavorativa qui. E ci sono ancora.

Dal 2010 lavoro come Responsabile della Comunicazione visiva per lo studio Engint. Mi piace fare. Mi piace sperimentare. Mi piace condividere.
Tanto che, qui alla Engint, ho potuto realizzare alcuni progetti tutti miei. Il primo è YYELLOW, un magazine online che, grazie a contest e spazi liberi, promuove giovani talenti, qualunque questi siano. Poi c’è YYELLOWstock, che vuole nobilitare il concetto del crowdsourcing della fotografia.

Insomma, forse non a caso uno dei passatempi preferiti dei miei primi dieci, facciamo anche tredici, anni di vita, sono state le lumache. O meglio: le gare di lumache. Non era facile, eh. Prima di tutto bisognava trovare un sacco di lumache, o almeno tre, poi bisognava colorarle e riempirle di contenuti prima di farle partire veloci come il vento. Lì i contenuti erano nostri, oggi i contenuti vogliono essere del mondo intero. Lavoro su questo appena posso.

You are probably wondering what J. stands for.
I’ve never liked my middle name. When I was a kid I couldn’t understand why my mother needed to write that everywhere. She used to stitch it onto my pinafore, to remind it to my teachers and – what I hated the most – she used to have me write it on the cover of my notebooks and at the end of my letters. Only later I came to realize that that J. was the difference between me and other Nathalies.
J. c’est moi.

I’ve been in charge of the Visual Communication department at Engint SA since 2010. I like making things. I like experimenting. I like sharing.
Here at Engint I realized some projects of my own. YYELLOW is an online magazine that promotes young talents through contests and giving them space. YYELLOWstock is meant t become the crowd sourcing of photography.

It’s probably not by chance that snails were the favorite pastime of my childhood. I’d rather say snails competitions. I had to find loads of snails or at least three of them. Then I had to paint and fill them with contents right before setting them off on track. Back then we got our own contents. Today it’s the world’s. As soon as I can I dedicate myself to this thing.
